Ms. Vaira joined the HoCo SAO in February of 2009 where she has prosecuted misdemeanor and felony cases. As the Chief of District Court, she currently oversees a staff of 25 and is responsible for the effective prosecution of cases including assault, possession of drugs, theft, harassment, stalking and serious traffic citations. She graduated from University of Maryland College Park with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Ms. Vaira also received her law degree from University of Baltimore School of Law, cum laude, in 2008.
